Description: In support of the Best Starts for Kids initiative, two Communications Specialist III positions are being recruited for the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) and Public Health – Seattle & King County Communications Teams, with one position serving in each department. S/he will carry out a wide range of external and internal communications functions that support department-wide and program area goals and activities, with particular attention and responsibility for aiding the implementation of the new, voter-approved Best Starts for Kids initiative.

This Public Health position will be career service and start at 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week), with the potential to increase to 1.0 FTE depending on funding. The companion DCHS position is currently posted HERE. You must apply separately to be considered for each position.
