King County is hosting the fourth annual “Working with Our Troops Career Expo” at the Washington State Convention Center on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Expo is free to both employers and job seekers and attracts 300-400 Veterans, transitioning Service Members and their spouses. DCHS developing 5 enhanced shelters for homeless individuals, families

White Center – The Family Shelter at White Center operated by Mary’s Place is open and providing safe, temporary housing for about 30 people (parents and children), which is the current capacity. This month, Metro launched the second round of our fare review process, with an online survey for people to tell us which of two potential options they prefer. Adult fare riders currently pay $2.50, $2.75 or $3.25, depending on time of day and whether they travel across zone boundaries. ORCA LIFT celebrated its two-year anniversary in March of this year and with this milestone began the renewal process of expiring cards.
