Over the weekend, it brought with it devastating flooding and destruction. Dear fellow King County employee, This weekend, Hurricane Harvey tore across Texas and Louisiana, leaving a trail of destruction and loss of life in its wake. The impact on people, the environment, and cities and towns – big and small – has been devastating, and with more storms forecast for the area, the damage is expected to get worse. Employee referred nonprofits are our favorite! It is our goal, after all, to connect employees to the causes they are passionate about through the Annual Giving Drive. All nonprofits must apply and meet eligibility requirements annually in order for them to be in the upcoming Annual Giving Drive. Invite your favorite nonprofit here. 2016 Employee Giving Drive sets new record!
The Employee Giving Program’s Annual Giving Drive was a great success! King County employees donated $1,906,726.09, exceeding the goal of $1.82 million and besting the 2015 drive by nearly $150,000! Additionally, we welcomed more than 625 New Connections. This is the largest increase in dollars in more than 15 years. The Executive’s office led by example, with a 61% team participation rate. King County Council followed with 39% of Council employees contributing. The Annual Employee Giving Drive: Final Week!
The County’s 2016 Annual Employee Giving Drive is wrapping up this week, and this year’s goal is to raise $1.82 million by Friday. King County employees have donated $1,040,180.65 so far, bringing the drive to 57.2% of the goal!
