Connecting with our communities and making friends with shared interests brings richness to all our lives.
That’s why King County Department of Community & Human Services’ Community Inclusion program helps give people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) an opportunity to participate in activities in their local community. From social clubs and volunteering opportunities to activities like climbing gyms, book clubs, knitting circles, pottery classes, gardening, and more, participants have a space to develop relationships with community members while practicing everyday skills that help support independence and foster community.
