New “Deputies with Dogs” campaign underway for the underdogs

Crossposted from the DES Express Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) and the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) have launched a new “paw-tnership” to help spread the word about animals in need of homes. Deputy Abts-Olsen recognized by the Seattle City Attorney’s Office

The senior gardener at South Treatment Plant sees the beauty in it all

Judge Rothrock, pictured above, takes on the role of Presiding Judge after having served as Assistant Presiding Judge in 2024 and 2025, and Chief Judge of the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center in 2022. Executive Zahilay honors Dwight Dively

On Thursday, Jan. 22, Executive Zahilay honored Dwight Dively, longtime director of the Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget (PBS) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), with a proclamation thanking him for his service to King County. Dwight served as PSB director from 2010-2025 and COO from 2019-2025. He guided King County’s finances through the Great Recession, the COVID-19 pandemic, and numerous crises in the General Fund.
