Most King County employees get paid on a biweekly basis. Since there are 52 weeks in a year, there are actually 26 pay periods. So, two months each year you will receive three paychecks—this year, that happens today and on Nov. 29. The net dollar amount of these two paychecks may be larger because not all deductions are taken out.
